Hard Work

Everything had to be painted. The worst part was the ceiling was the same color as the walls! We had to stretch high and use extenders. We borrowed ladders. So many people can to help (which we appreciate A LOT!) Cory did the high up parts and I stayed safe on the ground.

This is in one of the bedrooms. It was bright cherry red. Though the red was not done with a primer or a second coat so some areas where darker than others.

Not only did all the walls need repainting, all the floor in our house has been changed somehow. Not only did we put in new carpet in the bedrooms, wood floor in the living room, we also had to scrub a fading stain off all of the tile. When we first moved in I thought the house would turn out perfect except for the color of the tile. Happily one day I spilled some 409 cleaner on the floor. It took off the stain! We didn't want to have to 409 and scrub the entire floor so we bought some stripper from Lowes and the stain came off! YEAH!

Here are some of the improvements that we had to do:

This is the living room into the kitchen. What you can't see is the white squares on the floor where the furniture kept the carpet clean. Around the house were sever mystery spots, mushed in tooth paste, soda pop splatters, and all kinds and forms of grossness. Yuck! We never took off our shoes.

This is the living room after. We painted the ceiling added wood floors. We painted the walls a cooler color and more of a neutral calming brown instead of Mexican cantina style.

Our New House!

Cory and I moved from our condo in February of 2009 and moved into our new house one month later. Even though the house is only three years old there is A LOT to do! We love our new house!
